This is my first post and I have not left yet! It’s still only July, but yesterday, my student visa came in the mail, which is an awesome milestone in the process because I am now allowed to stay in France legally for ten months!
In case you didn’t know, acquiring a French visa is not easy in the slightest. Even living in Colorado, the nearest French consulate is in Los Angeles. Depending on where you live in the US, there is a designated consulate to which you must go in order to get a visa. But if everything goes well (as it did with me after months of preparation with professors and school administrators in France and the US), you should receive your visa within a week of your consulate appointment.
